I have been an animal person since I was a young child, owning cats, mice, birds, fish, dogs and stick insects! This has carried over to my adult life and I have wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember.
I began volunteering weekly at the Burwood RSPCA in the cattery in 2011. I loved volunteering and worked hard until a casual position came up. I applied for it and was elated to get the position which involved working across different areas with cats, dogs and rabbits. I started working full time in the cattery in 2012 and have experienced a fantastic 5 years in that role developing my cat handling skills, working closely with other staff and volunteers and fostering many, many cats!
While I’ve loved my time at the RSPCA I have wanted to do vet nursing since high school so I jumped at an opportunity to join the team at Bentleigh Vet and look forward to starting the Cert IV in Vet Nursing next year.
I live locally with my wonderful cat Gracie, a tabby DSH that I adopted from the RSPCA in my first year working there!
